and non-EEA countries (international students), applying for a graduate
programme (MSc) at the University of Twente. Non-EEA include students from
Africa, and other international students.

Level of Study: Master’s
Eligibility
- Your programme starts in September
- Have been admitted to one of the above mentioned graduate programmes at University of Twente before March 15
- Have graduated with excellent results in their (under-)graduate programme, where excellency is based on overall CGPA
- Comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa
- Comply with the overall English language test norm Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) and an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the subscore of speaking skills
- You are currently not eligible for a Dutch study grant
- Have finished a possible pre-master at the University of Twente (if applicable, but not alll courses)
- Students who are not directly admitted to a master, but will start a ‘pre-master’ programme can already apply for a UTS. If they do not finish the pre-master with a CGPA of 7,5 out of 10, they cannot be granted UTS.
Worth of Award:
There is a
limited number of UTS scholarships available, and the scholarship amount for
students from non-EU/EEA countries is either €10,000, €12,500, €20,000, or
€22,500. The scholarship amount for students from EU/EEA countries is maximum €
10,000. Amount awarded is dependent on course of study..
How to Apply
- You have to first apply to a master’s programme and be accepted before you can complete the application form because you will be required to confirm that you have a provisional acceptance as well as a student number
- Identify a master’s course of choice and apply to it so that you can be accepted before the March 15th deadline when you are expected to complete the scholarship application (see link below)
