Pittsburg State University offers graduate assistantships in many departments and offices on campus. Teaching, administrative and research positions are available.

Eligibility

  •  must be admitted to a graduate degree program.
  • must be up-to-date with graduate school requirements.
  • must enroll in and complete at least 6 hours of graduate credit at the 700 or 800 level that are required for the degree and will be on the student's candidacy. Enrollment should not exceed 12 credit hours without permission.
  • eligible students must have no more than 9 foundation hours remaining to complete and must be enrolled in 6 of those remaining hours the first semester of their appointment.
  • must have approval to work in the U.S.
  • For Teaching positions, must have earned a score of at least 22 in the speaking section of the TOEFL.
  • must enroll in and complete at least 9 credit hours, 6 hours of which must be at the 700 or 800 level and be required hours of enrollment for the fall semester.
