Description


This Scholarship was established in 2010 by Pacific Aluminium (formerly Rio Tinto Alcan), Australia.
The purpose of the award is to recognise and support a student undertaking Part III of a BE or BE (Honours) degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering at The University of Auckland.
Note
Recipients may be offered vacation work at one of the Pacific Aluminium sites in either New Zealand or Australia.

Eligibility


  • The Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in Part III of a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Chemical and Materials Engineering.
  • The basis of selection will be academic merit, leadership potential, personal qualities and communication skills, and analytical and research ability.
Application Procedure


How do students apply?
Applications by way of a form close with the Scholarships Office on the 31 March in the year of the award. If the closing date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday applications will be accepted up to 5pm on the next working day.
