Sophie Germain International Postdoctoral Scholarship in France 2013-2014

Eligibility:
 The scholarships are open to
•Foreign students (i.e. who do not have the French citizenship) who have or will have completed PhD in mathematics (or related to mathematics) in an academic institution by September 2013;
•All students who have or will have completed a PhD in mathematics (or related to mathematics) in a foreign (i.e. non French) academic institution by September 2013. Applications from students currently studying outside France will be given priority. In any case, selection will be based on the academic quality and recommendation letters.

Description: The Jacques Hadamard Mathematics Foundation (FMJH) is offering a number of one or two year scholarships for talented students applying for a postdoctoral position in Mathematics of one of its member institutions (the Labs in Applied or Pure Mathematics of the École polytechnique, École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, IHÉS and Paris Sud 11 University in Orsay).
Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for two years.
What does it cover? The salary is up to 24,000 euros per year. Laureates will be asked to give 20 hours/year for tutoring session at graduate’s level.
Notification: Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection process in the mid-February 2013.
