2013-2014 South Africa – Angola Joint Science & Technology Research ProgrammeEligibility:

For Whom: National & International (South African and Angolan Students)
Description: The Government of Angola and the Republic of South Africa signed an Agreement for cooperation in science and technology in 2008. The two countries have decided to jointly support researchers from public universities and public research institutions on an equal and mutually beneficial basis in an effort to enhance scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries. This second call for proposals is for joint research project proposals which should be submitted to the relevant authorities in both countries for evaluation (the Ministério do Ensino Superior e da Ciência e Tecnologia in Angola and the National Research Foundation in South Africa).

Duration of Awards: scholarship is awarded for 2 years.
What does it Cover: The South African students will be allowed to apply R1,00,000  per year over 2 years with the total not exceeding R2,00,000 per project. The Angolan students should apply for equivalent amount in their own currency and submit to relevant authorities of their countries.
Deadline: The closing date for applications is 28th February 2013.
